Paddling Mills

The Offshore Peninsula Series of images were born out Lisa Atkinson's love for her home on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. Living in close proximity to so many beautiful beaches on both the Port Phillip and Western Port Bays.

“I wanted to find a way to visually represent this beautiful part of the world, in a way that wasn’t being represented in any other imagery I had seen. I love being out in the water, and while playing around with my camera safely tucked into its underwater housing, found that looking back toward the shore, towards some of these iconic beaches was a view that so many of us were so familiar with. Being out in the saltwater, eyes slightly blurry from the water and sun glare, or water smear of their own, and that these imperfections are a part of the image.”
